Day 01: Arrive Jaipur
On arrival at Jaipur airport/railway station, transfer to hotel. After check-in, day is at leisure. Jaipur is an exuberance of color, dance and song with the traditional arts and crafts. Known as the Pink City, it is one of Indias most well planned cities. Evening enoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner at a local restaurant (optional). Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Jaipur
After breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Amber: 07 miles north of Jaipur, in the Aravalli Hills, is the honey-coloured fortress-palace, Amber Fort. Described as “the sleeping beauty of Rajasthan”, the somber exterior belies the richness of the royal apartments. It houses the Chamber of Mirrors. Hall of Victory, presents a galaxy of decorative art, which are panels of alabaster with fine inlay work of the tender hues. Here you can enjoy a ride on the caparisoned elephant (optional) or take a jeep ride to the fort. The Fort offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Rajput ruling families. Afternoon enjoy a city tour of Jaipur. Begin your tour with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storeyed wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. Visit the City Palace: the former royal residence, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles. An overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways, the Palace also houses a museum. Here you can find many antiques and artifacts belonging to the royal family, including a collection of weaponry. Continue to the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar Observatory, an astrological and astronomical Observatory. Evening is free for shopping in the colourful bazaars of Jaipur. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Jaipur - Ranthambore
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Sawai Madhopur town (180 kms / 3.5 hrs). On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Ranthambore National Park, the former hunting ground of the Maharajah of Jaipur and now a 512-square-mile natural preserve is home to hundreds of species of birds, reptiles, mammals and Bengal tigers. The best time to visit is between October and April. The afternoon take a first game drive through the park. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Ranthambore
After breakfast, embark on another jeep Safari into the National Park. Rest of the day is at leisure to pursue independent activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Ranthambore - Bharatpur After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to the paradise of birds – Bharatpur (225 kms/05 hrs). On arrival, check into hotel. Later you will enjoy a Rickshaw ride inside the Sanctuary for Bird Watching. Bharatpur is world renowned for its World Heritage listed Bird Sanctuary, the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world inundated with over 400 species of water birds. Exotic migratory birds can be spotted from October to late February. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Bharatpur - Agra Early in the morning, enjoy another Rickshaw ride inside the sanctuary to view the birds. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Agra (50 kms/1.5 hrs). Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri (35kms from Agra): built in red sandstone in honour of the Sufi saint, Salim Chisti, is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwan-e-Khas, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and the Buland Darwaza. Drive on to Agra and check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Bharatpur - Agra After breakfast, proceed on a city tour of Agra commencing with a visit to Sikandra, Akbar’s mausoleum in sandstone and marble. Akbar started its construction himself, blending Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Christian motifs and styles. Continue to Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Behind its forbidding red sandstone, battlements lay palaces that tell the story of the Mughul Empire. The most impressive part of the Fort is the Dewan-e-Am, where the Emperor sat on his throne to dispense to his subjects, and the Dewan-e-Khas where he received foreign dignitaries. Visit the famous Taj Mahal, poetry in white marble and precious stone. A tribute to eternal love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders in the world and celebrated for its architectural magnificence and aesthetic beauty. Enjoy an exciting rickshaw ride to the gates of the majestic Taj, (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays) a brief visit to a marble inlay workshop, where you see the art that went into the inlay work (Pietra Dura) at the Taj Mahal. Lastly, visit Itmad-ud-Daulah's tomb, Queen Nur Jehan’s father a two storied marble tomb bearing mosaics with semi-precious stones. Afternoon is at leisure for shopping or independent activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Depart Agra After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Delhi to connect for your flight/train for onward destination.
